Students in our Success Program had the opportunity to help kick off KCA's first ever rooftop garden. The garden required many chores, including filling the boxes, starting seeds, transporting seeds, watering plants, and harvesting mature crops. Students had the opportunity to partake in helping with all of the above, and even got to take home some of their harvest to enjoy.
Additionally, students enjoying our after school cooking program also utilized many of these vegetables and fresh herbs in their dishes that they prepared. We would like to thank all who made this possible and to share some wonderful photos of the students enjoying the space and some previews of what it looks like.
